FIELD TRIPS FOR 2010

This series of walks and rambles is being arranged in order to show just how rich and diverse the wildlife of the Exe Valley really is!

Often people who live right on the doorstep of such beautiful treasures are the very last to appreciate them.

This series of events aims to change all that.

The walks are free but any donations will be gratefully accepted.

NO BOOKING IS NECESSARY FOR WALKS, JUST TURN UP.

TWO EVENTS WHICH ARE ESPECIALLY SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS ALIKE

MAER ROCKPOOL RAMBLE

WEDNESDAY 28th JULY

Meet at the Seafaris tent/flag on the beach between the new lifeboat station and Maer Rocks at 2 pm.

The session will last about two hours and we will explore this wonderful rocky shore and find an incredible array of beautiful and interesting creatures.

ESTUARY LIFE IN THE MUD.

WEDNESDAY 25th AUGUST

Meet near the toilet block at the recreation ground car park by the Duck Pond (behind Exmouth station) at 1 pm.

The session will again last about two hours and you will find a wonderful variety of incredible creatures you probably didn't even know existed. This is a really good opportunity for kids to get dirty and they love it.

THESE EVENTS ARE ORGANISED TO SHOW PEOPLE THE INCREDIBLE DIVERSITY WE HAVE RIGHT ON OUR OWN DOORSTEP

* Please bring suitable clothing

* Wear sensible shoes with grip for rockpooling and the beach.

* Bring sun cream and a sun hat, or woolly hat depending upon the weather.

THESE EVENTS ARE FREE BUT ANY DONATION TO THE EXMOUTH VISITOR CENTRE WILL BE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED.
